How close are you to downtown Bellaire?

So close! We’re just one block east of downtown’s restaurants, shops, park, and movie theatre.

What is included in the kitchen?

You can make just about anything in our full kitchens. You’ll have a stove, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, along with pots and pans, utensils, plates, cups, and bottle openers.

Two-bed suites have private gas grills, and studio suites have access to the grill near the putting green.

We have drip coffee makers in every unit and provide two bags of coffee. If you’re looking for specialty coffee, head to Ruthann’s or Morning Grind.

Are there grills available? Where can we find them?

Ground floor suites have private gas grills on the back patio. Second floor suites share a communal grill located near the putting green at the entrance.

Are cribs available?

We offer pack ‘n plays and high chairs upon request at no additional charge. To guarantee availability, please request a pack ‘n play and/or high chair after making your reservation.

Is there laundry on site?

Stacking washer and dryers are located inside each two-bedroom suite. Studio Suites do not have in-unit laundry. There are public laundromats in Bellaire and Central Lake.

I left something behind, can you send it to me?

If you happen to leave behind any belongings and request that we ship them to you, there will be a minimum flat fee of $25 per parcel for priority mail, which will be charged to the credit card on file. For large items or overnight shipping requests, a charge of $25 plus the applicable shipping cost will apply.

You have fire pits? Do we need to bring our own wood?

Yes, we do have fire pits but we’ve got all the wood you’ll need.

The communal fire pit behind the Lotus and Sandbar cabins have wood stocked and ready to burn. Please help yourselves.

Ground floor suites have private fire pits on the patio and we provide wood for those. (Please do not burn the stacked-wood dividers, contact guest services for more supplies.)

Second floor suites can access the gas fire pits on the roof-top decks.

Where can we swim?

Richardi Park
Just across the river, Richardi Park is a short walk from our cabins and has a sandy beach with a kayak launch, playground, and basketball courts.

Torch Lake
Most of the shoreline is privately owned, but there are a few public access sites. If you’re into crowds and want to party, head to the sandbar on the south end of the lake. Most of the roads there end at public beaches but parking can be tough and the police presence is plentiful. We’re partial to the beach next to the Dockside or will take out a boat so we can dive deep!

Pro tip: Wear foot protection: most of the lake has a rocky bottom. Yes, you can hunt for Petoskey Stones.

Thurston Park
Head to downtown Central Lake to the park for a swim on Intermediate Lake, typically much warmer than Torch Lake.

Where can I park my boat?

Boat parking is located about a block from Spillway Lodges near the Ohio Street boat launch. There is 24/7 surveillance and Spillway guests are permitted to park overnight for free. If you’re planning to bring a boat please rinse it prior to travel to help protect our waterways.

Where can we launch my boat?

Depends where you want to go!

The Chain of Lakes is a series of 12 connected inland lakes, and the Spillways are right in the middle. Head downstream for the Caribbean-blue waters of Torch Lake, or upstream for calm and serene scenes and all-sports action. (Non-motorized boaters, check out Paddle Antrim!)

**If you’re planning to bring a boat please rinse it prior to travel to help protect our waterways from invasive species.

Lower chain: downstream from Spillway Lodges
Launch in downtown Bellaire at Ohio Street or Riverside Marina and travel the Intermediate River to Lake Bellaire, through the Grass River, Clam Lake, past the Dockside and into Torch Lake. There are some sensitive natural areas through this area so please be mindful of wake and speed.

Upper chain: upstream from Spillway Lodges
Head to downtown Central Lake and launch at the bridge or take the road less travelled to the Openo launch.

Torch Lake
Avoid the chaotic Alden and South End launches and opt for Butch’s Marina. Please note that a launch fee is charged during the July 4th holiday.
